Election Day Anxiety

Election Day Anxiety.

Whew, I don’t know about you but I was/am feeling heavy and overwhelmed about this election.

Businesses boarding up.
Internet fights.
Bickering, gaslighting, and bullying.

I am worried.
I’m worried about possible civil unrest.
I’m worried humanity will lose touch with compassion.
I’m worried neighbors will turn against neighbors.
I’m worried about the after math and the reaction of those who are unhappy with the elected candidate.
I’m worried about a lot of things, truly.

And just as soon as I feel like I’m loosing touch I remember, fear is a LIAR. Fear is the enemy. And the more we fear and worry the more we give in to what the enemy wants : division, fear, and lack of faith.

But, God.

God is greater than anything.
He can soften even the most hard of hearts.
He parted the Red Sea, and broke bread to feed thousands.
He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind.

So, if you feel yourself getting anxious, worried, or fearful ; put down your phone, turn off the tv, turn off the radio and PRESS into the Word!
